"SMITH, Minnie Lena - Passed peacefully away in the presence of family, at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, October 20, 2000, Minnie Lena Smith of Dildo, age 81 years. Predeceased by husband Silas; baby Helen; grandson Jerry and son-in-law Eric. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories her ten children: Stan (Louise), Margaret, Lawrence (Rose), Alf (Susie), Ron (Rebecca), Sam (Sheila), Lucy (Boyd), Ivan (Velma), Baxter (Edith), Janice (Calvin); blessed with thirty-two adoring grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Stanley (Rhoda), Albert (Muriel); sister Marion Moore-LeDrew; special friend, Clara Lockyer; a large number of other relatives and many friends. Resting at Warren`s Funeral Home, Dildo. The funeral service will be held from the Salvation Army Citadel, Trinity Bay South Corps on Sunday, October 22 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the Salvation Army Cemetery. No flowers by request, as expressions of sympathy, donations in her memory gratefully accepted to the Trinity Bay South Corps Building Fund."
