"KING, Freeman George Corner Brook, NF It is with great sadness and regret that the family of the late Freeman King announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, August 29th, 1999 at the age of 74. He will be sadly missed by his loving family: wife Doris (nee Smith); son Randy (Doreen) of Corner Brook;
three grandchildren: Jeff, Jason and Ashley. Also left to mourn are his sister Joan Babb (Mac) of St. John's; mother-in-law Isabel Smith of Trinity Bay; brothers-in-law: Ray Smith (Ruby) of Springdale, Clarence Smith (Lorraine) of Trinity Bay; sisters-in-law: Loretta Hillier (Winston) of Blaketown, Mildred Critch (Henry) of Cavendish; and Doris Young of St. John's, a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son Terry in July 1975; his parents Elizabeth and Samuel King; his brothers: Randell and Bill, sister and brother-in-law Mabel and Bert Stockley; and his father-in-law Wilson Smith. The family will be receiving friends from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m., also on Tuesday from 10-12 noon. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, August 31st at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Temple, O'Connell Drive, Major Doug Hefford officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Temple Memorial Fund or to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation."
