Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, wife Lillian; children: Leslie (Dorothy), Murdock (Lucille), Daphne Woodman (Terry), Percy, Eric (Lucy), Herman (Daphne), Hobert (Wendy), Terry (Juanita), Linsey (Brenda), Alonzo (Judy), Ida Hartery (Dan), Dean (Lisa); brother Robert (Millicent); sisters: Floss Goobie (Cecil), Margaret Piercey (Ralph), Marina Hiscock (William); 25 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at St. Andrew's United Church, Whiteway, from where the funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2 p.m. Interment to follow at United Church Cemetery, Whiteway. "BISHOP, Wilfred - Corner Brook, NF - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wilfred Bishop announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2000 at the age of 85. He will be sadly missed by brother Newton and family, Islington, Trinity Bay; sister Mona Osmond and family, St. John's; niece Betty (Robert) Hillyard; nephew Winston (Judy) Wiltshire, Kara (Terence) and Ryan, all of Corner Brook; sister-in-law Jane Wiltshire, St. John's as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Susann (nee Wiltshire) November, 1995; parents Alfred and Diadem (nee Noel) Bishop and brother Chester. Mr. Bishop was a member of the Newfoundland Overseas Forestry Unit, World War 2; the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 13 Corner Brook; the International Order of Odd Fellows. Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will take place from St. John The Evangelist Cathedral on Saturday, August 26th, at 2:00 p.m., officiated by The Very Rev. Lorne Gosse. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the D.V.A. Unit, O'Connell Centre, the VON or to the charity of one's choice."

1. Per Everett Bishop: After Pricilla and Albert were married, they lived in Heart's Delight for a number of years, but eventually moved to what is still the family house on Blackmarsh Road in St. John's

NOTES:

1. Jennie Wiltshire says her father had a picture of his grandparents (Fred and Theresa) hanging on the wall in their home. Jennie remembers it as a 3D picture (it bowed out in the centre), with Fred and Theresa dress all-in-black. Jennie doesn't know where the picture is today (May 2001).

2. Jennie Wiltshire says her father had a dockyard at Heart's Delight (the first one, she thinks) and there he built schooners and other types of ships.
