"NEWHOOK, Harleith Vey -- Passed peacefully away at the Salvation Army Grace General Hospital on Tuesday, July 21, 1998, in the presence of his family, Harleith Vey Newhook, aged 78 years. He leaves to mourn with fond memories, his loving wife of fifty-four years, Beatrice; son Ewen (Monica), Gander; two daughters: Marie Evans (Stan), Mt. Pearl and Cynthia, Stephenville; nine grandchildren: Susan Rowe (Chris), Rocky Harbour, Linda Durnford (Brian), Steven Evans, Mt. Pearl, Jillian, Richard and Meghan Newhook, all of Gander, Dano, Terry and Erica Soucy, all of Stephenville; two great-granddaughters: Rebecca and Ireland; sister Joyce Rowsell, Grand Falls-Windsor; sisters-in-law: Daphne Newhook, Audrey Keats and Fannie Keats; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
