DEATH:
In 1948/49, three friends, Ken Jackson, Dick Critch, and another Critch boy went trouting on Long Pond. The two Critch boys left early and Ken Jackson stayed by himself. That evening when it started to get dark everyone got worried because Ken was not at home and feared he may have had an epileptic seizure. A search party went in search of Ken. Mr. Harold Jackson found the boy. He had fallen through the ice and drowned. They assumed he had a seizure and it caused him to drown. They had to make up a stretcher to carry him out on. They had a long distance to carry him. The people of Cavendish named the spot in the pond where Ken drowned as "Poor Ken". Even today, people still call the spot Poor Ken.F iv Geraldine Ruby JACKSON
