"SMITH, Charlie - Passed peacefully away at his daughter`s residence in Whitbourne on June 12, 2000, Charlie Smith of Gander Age 91 years. Leaving to mourn wife of 61 years, Emma Jane (nee Thorne), one daughter Grace of Whitbourne. Five sons: Eric (Shirley) and Phonse of Ottawa, Morley (Rolla) PEI, Kevin (Kay), St. John`s, Tony (Lorraine), Labrador City. Fifteen grandchildren, ten Great-Grandchildren. One sister Elsie Thorne, New Harbour, Special nephew Lloyd (Angela) Smith, South Dildo. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends in Trinity Bay and Gander.
