SWASP job opportunity with STEP for Grade 12 or post-secondary student

SWASP Opportunity
With the Suzuki Talent Education Program (STEP)
THE OPPORTUNITY

The STEP program has an opportunity to obtain a SWASP placement to start immediately and complete 280 hours of work by the end of February in exchange for a tuition voucher of $1400 and a stipend of $400 for the successful applicant.

The successful applicant would gain first hand experience in the administration of a nonprofit performing arts organization as well as research and planning experience related to fund raising and communications. The successful applicant would have the benefit of being under the supervision of highly trained music educators and a volunteer Board of Directors from a variety of backgrounds.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ELIGIBILITY

1. Applicants (no age restriction) must be planning to either start or continue post secondary studies in North America sometime between now and September 2006. Eligible studies may be taken part-time, full-time or online from any recognized post-secondary institution.

2. Applicants must have knowledge of and preferably experience with the STEP program

3. Applicants must be able to complete 280 hours of work between the time of approval (possibly by Nov 4) and end of February 2006

4. Applicants must be able to use a voucher for $1400 for post secondary education plans by January 2007.
